Swatara Middle vs Central Dauphin Middle split games...

On one of my few free days of the week, I had a chance to check out some of the local talent in the middle school area here in Harrisburg....   The future is looking bright....

In the 7th grade game, Swatara ruled this match up from beginning to end....  Mainly in part of the dynamic duo of Nick Ramsey and Jordan Gillis....

Swatara won this game 43 - 27 with Ramsey and Gillis sitting out most of the 4th quarter...

Both guys shared 28 points evenly but Ramsey also collected 12 rebounds for the game...

Aiden Fleming was the lone bright spot for CD Middle as he scored 20 of their 27 points from all over the court....  His court vision looked good, outside shot was on and even had a few nice drives to the basket....

The 8th grade game was more competitive as CD edged Swatara 41 - 39....   CD players played a well rounded game and no one really stood out as the go to guy on their team....  They had two big guys, (#25 and #35) who really dominated inside from hustle plays.....   Swatara was led by 4'11 combo guard Noah Arroyo who is a small guy who can shoot the ball and knows the game very well...  He was unstoppable, scoring 19 points and really the only guy keeping the game close other than a few inside basket by 7th grader Nick Ramsey...

CD forced Swatara into 24 turnovers for the game and that plus missed free throws sealed the game for CD...

Overall, Swatara has a ton of raw athletes who need serious instruction...  They hustle like no other but give the ball right back to you because of poor decisions....  CD does a better job of taking care of the ball, they just can't finish well.  They'll be fine as they get older.....

  1. There was a kid for CD Middle who played both 7th and 8th great as point guard. I believe his name is Nate. From what I saw, I believe he played pretty well too. Aggressive, great on the defensive end.
