Harrisburg Catholic vs. St. Theresa III in the playoffs promises to be a great game. St. Joseph, Mechanicsburg is playing well too. Beat Holy Name last night. CYO top notch league. D-I scholarships this year for Mike Zangari/Logan Stumpf from St. Theresa, Devin Thomas from Holy Name and possibly Aaron Devan from St. Catherine and Matt Banas from St. Joan of Arc.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they have some of the top STUDENT/ATHLETES.... Can't go anywhere without grades....
ReplyDeleteThe current senior class of high school players in the CYO as 8th graders was amazing. The St. Catherine team that won the Diocesan Title that year also featured current McD QB, Alec Werner, Susquehanna QB Anthony Gelbaugh and a D-I football signee in McD's Brock Dean (Maryland). The St. Anne team they played in the Diocesan title game featured Adam DePietro of Lancaster Catholic, who signed a full football scholarship with Northwestern and led LC to the state title. McD's Polacheck played that year at Seven Sorrows, the entire Trinity team played in the league and on and on.
