Predictions for 1/31/12....

Let's see how today's games go....

McDevitt @ Carlisle - Carlisle has been having a very rough season....  At this point of the season they have nothing left to play for but pride....  McD is working on better seeding for Districts so they are on a mission....  Aaron Devan seems to be peaking at the right time, which can mean danger for Carlisle....  McD by 12 pts.....

CD East @ Chambersburg - CD East has been playing well this season....  They took a loss over the weekend but played without their general Eddie "Always Steady" Cowan and Aris Scott came midway through the 4th quarter...  Expect them to come ready to play as they are trying to get one of the spots for the Mid Penn tourney...  Chambersburg is a tough place to play, any year but I think East pulls out a tight victory in overtime as Dudley comes ready to play...  East by 4 points....

Cedar Cliff @ Palmyra - Cedar Cliff is a difficult team to figure out because they have everything you need to be a great team except one thing, HEART!!!     Logan Stumpf has got to step it up for Cedar Cliff if they ever want to be considered an Elite team, no if, ands or buts about it...   Palmyra won't lay down for anyone and has been playing well.....  This game could go either depending on which Palmyra team shows up, but today I'm giving the edge to Cedar Cliff by 15 points...

CD @ Harrisburg - This is the game you all been waiting for....  This is for first place in the Commonwealth and it's going to be a good one....  CD will come prepared for the full court pressure but with the rotation of athletes Harrisburg has been playing, can CD sustain?   Once CD get the ball in the half court set, Harrisburg is in trouble because no one can match up with Devin Thomas.....  Haiisheen MacIntyre will look to lead his young Cougars but look out for the play of rising stars DaQuan Ware, James Ezel and Jamaal Carter.....  These guys give some great energy off of the bench and can change the tempo of a game....   Thomas will get his, MacIntyre will get his, so it's all about the role players tonight.....  I say Harrisburg by 3 pts in a close game all the way through...

Mech @ Hershey - No contest....  Hershey by 23 pts....

Red Land @ Susquehanna - This is a very important game for both teams....  Hanna still has a chance to make districts but now seeding is important...  Red Land has no room for error if they want to get in...  Mike Zangari has been playing just as good as anyone this year but he needs consistent help....  Shoop Shepard has been the only steady player for Hanna and he needs help as well....  Justin MacAuthor is the guy I believe can be the Robin for Shoop (Batman) but he has to be more assertive on offense....  Gabe Mack is another player who can do more but is settling for the outside shot too much....  Both teams need the win, who wants it more.....  I say Hanna gets this one by 6 points....

Red Lion Christian @ EBCA - Red Lion competed well in the first match up but EBCA pushed the tempo and took control...  The Patriots are playing good basketball right now behind Nehemiah "Bud" Mack, Collin Reeves, Tim Kile, Jansen Morrison and Tyrece Little...  All 5 guys are capable of scoring double figures on any given night...  If they stick with their man to man pressure, this game can be over early....  EBCA by 16 points.....

Steel Hi @ CV - Steel Hi - normally plays well vs CV and tonight I believe they'll do the same....  STeelton can really cause some havoc by applying full court pressure on CV guards and should dominate the glass with David Craig being out for the season possibly....  Steel Hi wins by 10 points tonight.....

West Perry @ Middletown - West Perry has been playing great basketball and Middletown has been slumping lately....  M-Town has the players to compete with anyone but West Perry has the experience and coaching....  This will be a close game but I'm thinking West Perry wins by 5 points on the road...

  1. This will be a classic game between Harrisburg and cd if refs stay out of the way ,,,, if not the team that can hit free throws win

  3. Completely agree with the statement about Cedar Cliff. Logan Stumpf, from what I have seen, is not a division one basketball player. He has the potential, but there are major attitude/ lack of heart issues that he must overcome. In the three biggest games of the year, he was a nonfactor and its not because was getting special attention from the opposition. Nol Aru is finally starting to play nicely is only 34 points away from 1000 (before Palmyra). Lewis and Majok (minus the past 2 games) have been the only consistant players for CC. Although Will Hopkins has not been consistant, you know you are getting his best effort ever night. For CC to be on the same level as Hershey, CD, or Harrisburg, Logan Stumpf needs to step up. I think Jim needs to send him a message by having either Galic or Martinez start over him for a game or two.

  5. Cedar Cliff is hurting at the guard position. Majok is spending to much time handling the ball.
