Emmanuel Baptist gets another win at home....

The start of a busy week began for EBCA as thet took on Juniata Mennonite in the first of their 3 games this week.....   EBCA had won the first meeting so JM was looking to get revenge and steal one on the road......  Better luck next time as they fell 57 - 42......

Once the first quarter began, EBCA quickly showed their dominance by going on a 15 - 2 run behind 11 points by 7th grader Tyrece Little....    The tempo of the game seemed to be a little too much for JM as they began to throw the ball all over the court...

2nd quarter was a little more even but junior guard Tim Kile decided to take over for EBCA scoring 10 points in that quarter and leading EBCA into halftime with a 32 - 22 advantage....

The third quarter looked as if JM was ready to turn things around as Jesse Watts made a nice basket inside, but that's when the duo of soph Collin Reeves and 8th grader Nehemiah Mack turned it up a notch and started to dominate....   Mack would rally off 8 straight points and then Reeves got 3 straight steals and converted them into fast break points scoring 6 more of his own giving EBCA a 50 - 32 lead headed into the 4th quarter...

The 4th was all about clock management as EBCA looked to run time off the clock but JM outscored them 10 - 7 the last quarter.....

Mack led all scorers with 17 points, 16 rebs, 5 assist and 3 steals, Kile chipped in with 12 points and 2 steals, Little had 11 points, 10 rebs and 4 assist in his first start of the year while Reeves finished with 11 points, 7 rebs and 6 steals.....  Jesse Watts led JM with 12pts and 11 rebs......

  1. Is any of their games against PIAA teams? I really don't see them playing any real competition.

    1. The competition is on a single A level.... Next year the comp will be a little greater as they will play some schools in Maryland and NJ and even Philly.... EBCA could probably compete with just about every Single A school in the area... With one more 6'3 or 6'4 kid, they could be pretty tough for most schools around...
