Predictions on todays games 1/6/12....

Here's a look at some of todays matchups for high school games.....  Should be a very interesting day of games.......

Camp Hill @ Trinity -  Sorry folks, not even a contest....  Trinity is just too much for Camp Hill....  Trinity by 23 points...

Carlisle @ McDevitt -  This is a must win for both teams...  Carlisle has been struggling with the loss of their head coach and also with Jonas Paige who transferred to Susquehanna over the summer....  They have yet to get into the grove...  McDevitt has a decent starting five but will need more production from their bench...  Top Gunner Aaron Devan can't afford to have another single digit scoring game if McDevitt is going to have any chance of winning this game....   He has to and is supposed to score 20 or more...  McDevitt squeezes this one out by 3 points at home....

Chambersburg @ CD East - Chambersburg always finds a way to compete..   Even though their best player (Skyler Roman) is out for the season.....   Kellen Williams and AJ Maun have been two of the bright spots for Chambersburg and can light it up from the outside....  CD East is coming off of a rough week with losses to Cedar Cliff and Central Dauphin...  With Aris Scott and Anthony Wright finally playing to their potential and Eddie "Always Steady" Cowan running the show, look for East to get a much needed win this week...  Reggie Dudley has to play much smarter than he did vs CD and can't afford to get into foul trouble...  CD East by 7 with Cowan hitting free throws in the end...

Cumberland Valley @ Steelton - Cumberland Valley is coming off of a very impressive win vs MCD with a beautiful balanced scoring attack...  Can they duplicate that performance is the question?  Steelton is getting better and better each week....  With the big time play of Jordan Milberry, Mark Perry and Q Mcneil, Steelton has a chance to keep this game close....  The biggest challenge is going to be stopping David Craig from CV, he is a monster inside...  That has to be a team effort for Steelton as Anthony Ferguson and Brodrick Settles-Simmons will have to team up and play their best basketball.  If Steelton can win this one, it will be the turning point of their season.....   Steelton by 2, Milberry saves the day....

Harrisburg @ Central Dauphin - Yeah, I know, I did this one before, but things changed....  Devin Thomas picks up two techs vs East and he has to miss this game...  Does that hurt CD to the point where they have no chance to win????   Maybe if this was the Harrisburg teams of the past, but it's not...  CD has really good guard play and have been playing together so long, they can keep this game close through out, even without Thomas....  Haiisheen MacIntyre has been the only consistent player for the Cougars and will need help from somewhere...  Steven Stoney seems to be the next guy but pg Jerel Patterson has to really step his game up and play the way he's expected to play...  Patterson will need to find a way to disrupt Nick Seefelt because he will kill a defender who plays him the wrong way....  The referees WILL keep this a tight game as CD will shoot twice as many free throws as Harrisburg....  There's a rumor saying Zayd isn't playing so that could mean trouble for CD...  If he does play, then I'm going out on a limb and saying CD by 3 points without the big fella...  If he doesn't play, Burg by 15 points...  Too strong on the boards...

Palmyra @ Cedar Cliff -  Palmyra has been playing very good basketball coming off of a win vs Susquehanna...  It was only 3 years ago Hanna beat them by 70 points so Palmyra is moving in the right direction...  Cedar Cliff has all the tools and a different guy can hurt you on any given day....  Nol Aru has to do more if Cedar Cliff is going to win this game...  Palmyra pulls out a shocking victory and wins by 1 point in overtime....

Susquehanna @ Red Land - Susquehanna has been having a rough season and with their most consistent player Jonas Paige being out for the season with a torn ACL, who will step up for them now???   Don't be surprised if a certain JV player can step in and give Hanna what they need to get over the top...  Red Land has really found their grove with Dom Antenelli playing so this can be a very close game tonight...  Mike Zangari will be too much, Antenelli is a baller as Red Land pulls out an 8 point win....

Emmanuel Baptist vs Juniata - EBCA is on a roll and starting to play better as a team...  Bud Mack is coming off a career high of 28 points and he looks unstoppable...  junior Tim Kile and soph Collin Reeves has been tearing it up on both ends of the floor while youngster Ty Little coming off the bench is providing the much needed fire power....   Juniata plays very physical and their size could hurt EBCA....  Juniata pulls out a tough one at home by 9 points....

This is all in fun and I may be wrong, but oh well, let's see some good games!!!!!!
