Rollers get a BIG WIN vs Zangari and Red Land...

Just when you thought you had an easy win, Steel Hi turns it up a notch....  A team that has been struggle to score all season, scores a season high 75 points in a win at home vs Red Land 75 - 66.....
I've been saying for quite some time that Steelton can win if they can score at least 50 points....  They have been playing pretty good defense all year but had trouble scoring...

This is what happens when teams relax over the summer and do nothing basketball related....  Now that the mid season is here, they are finally playing the way they should have started the season out....

Shaquinn McNeal led Steel Hi with 22 points while emerging scorer Mark "Little Man" Perry had 20pts....  Brodrick "B-Rod" Settles-Simmons also chipped in 10 pts as Steelton used a combination of all of their forwards to make life difficult for East Carolina recruit Mike Zangari, who had a game high of 26 points....  John Ford lit up the arc with 4 three's on his way to 16 points while the Antonelli brothers Duke and Dom chipped in 11 and 12pts respectively.....

Congrats go out to Steelton as they continue to grow on this surprising season.....  A team with only 1 win last year already has 5 wins and will be fighting for the chance to get into districts....

If Coach Hawthorne can get them into Districts, he gets my vote for Coach of the year.....
