So long to Hanna

Like Boyz 2 Men said, "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday"....  This is how a few local teams felt after going down in the 2nd round games for AAA Districts.....  Just like that, season over!!!

Susquehanna snuck into Districts with the hopes of making an unexpected run....  The only problem was they had to face a well prepared team in Trinity....  To beat Trinity, you have to be clicking on all cylinders because Coach Larry Kostelac Jr is one of the very best at preparing his guys for the next opponent....

Trinity basically used their patients on offense to tire Susquehanna out on defense....  In turn, Susquehanna seemed to not have the energy they needed to perform well on offense....  Hats off to Trinity for a well thought out game plan there....

Teams that win in the playoffs don't win by luck, it takes "Major Preparation", experience, toughness and then just a little bit of talent.....  When looking at Susquehanna's roster, we see talent for sure, so what's the problem???

I feel extremely bad for a guy like Senior Vaughn Jones who played 11 seconds in the 4th quarter...  A kid like that deserves better and kept a great spirit all season....  Most seniors would have quit on their teammates but Jones always tried to uplift their spirits and help the younger guys to perform better....  He's a true teammate and I wish him the best in the future....

Yesterday's game was the kind of game where they had to find an answer on the offensive end...  The starters were just off.....  Perfect opportunity to go to the bench for a spark.....

Hopefully the kids can stay focused on getting better in the off season and coming back stronger, more skilled and a little smarter for the next go around....

Coach Rogers wil have some heavy decisions to make over the spring and summer....  It's been a long and sometimes stressful year but changes will be needed in order to get the full attention and respect of the players.....   He also has to remember that he's there to coach players and not parents so work on being the best coach to the players he can possibly be....
