results from games on 2/7....

Here's a look at some of the games from yesterday.....

M-Town whooped on Susquenita 58 - 30 as 10 players hit the scorebooks led by Jason McElwees 13pts and Jared Deibler's 11pts....

Chambersburg used a huge 1st half advantage to squeeze the win over a peskey Steel Hi 63 - 59 as they led at half 33 - 14....  Steelton played huge in the 2nd half led by JC Brandt and Mark Perry who both shared 38 points equally......  SH needed that win to almost guarantee their way into the District tourney....

Emmanuel Baptist split the series with Lebanon Christian with a 59 - 53 win at home....  Tim Kile led the way with 16 points and 6 steals, Nehemiah Mack who is battling the flu chipped in 14 pts and 4 blocks while Collin Reeves scored 11pts for the Patriots, while Jansen Morrison had 8pts and 10 rebs....  With EBCA up by 2 with a little over a minute to play, 7th grade guard Tyrece Little knocked down 2 free throws to make it a two possesion game...  The Chargers would never get any closer than that....  Justin Alverez led Lebanon Christian with 24 points and 4 steals.....

Harrisburg used a balance attack to take down Cumberland Valley 56 - 42 at Kimber Gymnasiam....  Haiisheen MacIntyre led the way with 18 pts and they got a nice 20 points from their bench which is always huge headed towards the playoffs...   Harrisburg is my sleeper team in the Districts....

In a battle for 3rd place in the Commonwealth division McDevitt took down CD East 68 - 57 in what might be the last home game played at McDevitts historical gym.....   The game was close early on but once the 3rd quarter came, The Crusaders went up and never looked back....   Aaron Devan lit The Panthers up with 28 points (21 in the 2nd half) but used his wit to find all sorts of ways to score...  He showed that he is not just a shooter, he's a BALLER....  Jordan Brooks chipped in a huge 17 points in the first half, Freshman Milik Gantz helped with 10 points plus a bunch of sweet passes to his teammates, pesky 5'7 lead guard Jaquan "Hungry" Johnson kept his team under control and played a very good defensive game on CD East back court while DJ Polacheck was all over East Leading Scorer Reggie Dudley holding him to 3 - 15 shooting for the game.....

Eddie "Always Steady" Cowan led East with 14 points, Aris Scott (recently signed with Wagner for football) chipped in 11 points while Anthony Wright and Reggie Dudley both had 10 points....  East needed more from Dudley if they were to win that game...  Especially since Tony McCraw was out with a sprained ankle....

  1. HEY; Good job on this prediction (13 points)(turned out to be eleven), but it was i3 three times in the last minute of play. I'd call us even, but you still owe me from last week.
I thought the turn-around came when East came out of their diamond-and-1 which was keeping it close.
McD killed East's press. McD was hungrier, getting
the loose balls and fighting for the rebounds.
All in all it was a very well played game by both teams and certainly enjoyable as a fan.
McD doesn't get into their new school til next Jan. so there will be more games at Tracy Hall.

    1. I just forgot to put him on there... He's a top prospect for sure.... Depending how he finishes, he could even be a 6th man of the year for this area....
