Harrisburg vs York and CD East vs Chambersburg.... Who wants it more????

Man, I tell ya, it almost doesn't get any better than this.....  You have a classic battle between Harrisburg and York on one side of the brackets and then you have a Commonwealth 3rd round brawl between East and Chambersburg on the other side....   Not one person can sit here and say they know who's winning these games for sure....
In the first game at 6:30pm at the Giant Center, Cd East and C-Burg will square off tomorrow for the third time...  East won the first game but The Trojans came back strong and won big down the stretch in game 2...

Both teams have been playing well lately but C-Burg has been playing well for weeks as they found their grove...

CD East is going to have to be hitting on all cylinders if they want to come out on top because this team will be much better than Elizabethtown....   Don't get me wrong, East can win this game, but only if they think defense first and let the offense come from that....

C-Burg will look to crowd Dudley on the perimeter and look for the offensive foul once he drives....  Dudley will have to be under control and let the game come to him...  When he, Eddie"Always Steady" Cowan and Tony "Little Scram" McCraw penetrate, they need to look for Aris Scott and Anthony Wright cutting to the basket.....   Those guys can have a field day attacking C-Burg's big guys....

Cowan will also need to keep Tay Charles out of the paint....  He gets that team going but is rarely talked about...   My pick is East stops C-Burg's winning streak and win by 6 points....  McCraw and AWright saves the day with their defensive effort while Cowan controls the pace of the game and wins the pg battle...



In the next game at 8pm, one side will be filled with Black and Grey, the other side will be Blue and Orange as these two teams match up for the 2nd time this season....  

Funny thing with this game is it's really all about the guards as York starts 5 guards to Harrisburg's 3....   Can  Harrisburg take advantage of the lack of inside strength York has?

York is led by do it all guard Dejian Williams who can light it up and attack the defense at will...  They also have guys like CJ Smith and Derek Wilson who can score at will and play with lots of swagger...   Na'shon Deshields can shoot the trey ball with accuracy while Tavon Parker has athleticism for days, just like the rest of the Parker boys over the years....

Haiisheen McIntyre will do his normal thing but he may even do more....  This kid is realizing that teams can't stop him...  The great thing about it is his team mates are realizing it too and they are getting him the ball in better scoring positions....  Harrisburg is playing great TEAM basketball and that makes them very scary...  This is the type of team you do not want to face right now....  Steven Stoney is back and focused more than ever plus with The Cougars suiting up 14 players, you never know who's day it's going to be....   All those boys have to do is be ready....

This will be the type of game where Ashton Cooksey Easter should be used a lot because he's probably the top choice to defend Williams....  If Cooksey doesn't work, here comes JaQuil Wright, if that doesn't work, here comes DaQuan Ware, and so on and so on.....

I say Harrisburg pulls this game out by 8 points due to their high level of confidence and the fact that they are more familiar with the Giant Center's floor....   It's similar to playing at Harrisburg as they probably have the biggest court in District 3....   Rell Paterson has a good game as the run and gun will fit his style of play so be ready to watch a game that could be in the high 70's or 80's.....

Whatever else you had planned, you may want to put it on hold....  These games are sure to be classics....
