Round 3 Naples vs Pontes in Steelton Pony league....

This may be a little early but I know some kids have this game circled on their schedule right now...   These two teams have been going at it all year and 1st place comes down to this last and final regular season game...

Both teams only have 1 loss this season and the loss is to each other....  Pontes beat Naples by 8 points and Naples beat Pontes by 3 points...  Both games were SUPER exciting and I expect the 3rd game to be even better....

Naples will be led by their 3 headed monsters Jordan McCraw, Keyian Bullock and Eric Dickie....  All three of those guys are as fast as any backcourt you will see in the 5th grade in this area....

Pontes will be led by the twin towers Tyreese Smith and John Pogasic plus their pg Donavan "Mighty Mouse" Medina who are all 5th graders as well......  

The difference in this game could be who's bench will be more productive...  Naples has had very little bench support this season...  The starters have played so well that they still have been able to get big wins...

Pontes bench and Role players have been playing better and better each week so that could spell trouble for Naples....   If 4th grader Tamel Little and 5th grader Kobe Petrovich can provide the hustle, defense and hit open shots, Pontes will have a great chance of pulling away with this game....   If McCraw and Bullock have another game like they did in the 2nd game, it's going to be hard to slow them down....

These two teams have a very good chance to make it to the finals which means there could be a round 4 fight but until then, we'll focus on this game....

Can Medina withstand the pressure from the Naple guards???  Can Naples stop Smith & Pogasic from 15 feet in????   Will Pontes role players (Tamel, Kobe, Brian, Brady and Christian) give them the boost they need to get over the hump????  Only time will tell....

Game time -   SUNDAY 3pm at Steelton Elementary School
