Class of 2016 Top 12 8th graders in the Harrisburg area....

Here's a look at the top 12 8th graders in the area.....  These kids not only show talent on the court, but they have good character off the court, and that's more important....

In no particular order...

Nehemiah " Bud " Mack - Emmanuel Baptist - Rock solid guard who can play almost any position on the floor...  Has a tremendous IQ for the game and is always under control...

Morgan Keiser - Red Land - Keiser looks like he'll be the next best thing coming to Red Land...  He played up on the 9th grade team this year and fit in very well...  Can do it all on the court...

Derrick Ford - St. Theresa - Derrick is an inside - outside guy and is very skilled inside....  Standing at 6'3 he can use both hands extremely well in traffic....

AJ Perez  - CD - Don't make the mistake of thinking AJ is only a post player...  He has the body of a big, but the skills of a guard...  AJ creates matchup problems for whoever is on him...

James Williams - HCC - Williams knows how to put the ball in the hole...  He's a silky smooth forward with a variety of offensive moves....  Very athletic as well....

Ahkee Cowan - CD East - whoever the best guard is on the other team, put Ahkee on him...  He will make his opponent work for everything they get...  He's also learned how to score the ball from all over the court...

Jaron Grayer - Steelton - Jaron ha sbecome a lights out shooter for Steelton and I can see them using him immediately next year...  He understands the game and still has a lot of room for growth...

Jaqui Jenkins - Nativity School - This is a smooth guard who reminds me of Kenny Anderson out of NYC....  Jenkins can push the ball, score, defend, pass, you name it.....  Even better on the football field I hear....

JoJo Headen - HCC - Very steady lead guard who is always under control...  Don't leave him open because he will knock down shots as well....  Very good two sport athlete...

Bryce Hall - St. Joan of Arc - Bryce is a go getter on the court...  Always giving 100% and can score in bunches...

Adrian Ledobaum - Seven Sorrows - One of the best athletes in the area period, regardless of grade....  Adrian can finish well around the basket and has a nice mid range jumper as well....

Ben Walker - Susquehanna - Ben has been getting better and better over the years and now he's turned into a force for Susquehanna...  The southpaw plays until he hears the whistle and his hustle is unlimited...

Honerable Mention - Manny Piper, Anthony Johnson, Noah Arroyo, Jabari Tate, Nasir Johnson

  1. Please, please, please do not forget about Emmanuel Piper from HCC. He is a phenomenal basketball player as well and he may very well be the best shooter in the CYO. That's big for the CYO is chock full of excellent players as well as shooters. He is a force to reckon with.
