One has to be very careful comparing players by looking at stat lines only. McD goes to CD and looses by 30 points and you list two players from there; Cedar Cliff, who lost to Hershey at home, has two? There's more to this than points. The best point guard in the Mid Penn is not on your list because he plays defense, rebounds, feeds the best player in the state, and fits into the system they run. This listing players like this has to stop because there is no basis in reality for it. Basketball is a team sport. The coaches and the players know who they fear. A bunch of them are not on your list. Its the W's that matter, not the points.
ReplyDeleteGreat Post.... Was up late and was thinking I forgot someone.... I never base it solely on points, I know too much basketball for that.... He's defenitely in my top 15.... I'm small time, don't worry... Try not to let small mistake bother you too much... Thanks for the feedback.
ReplyDeleteChristo Majok and Nol Aru are not team players they don't share the ball when they have it and turn the ball over trying to force bad shots, I'm not saying they are bad players, just selfish players, it resulted in a loss to Hershey!!
ReplyDeleteif cedar cliff doesn't have those players the last couple of years...they wouldve been a .500 team....go figure!
ReplyDeleteBut they did have them and a few good coaches....
ReplyDeleteIts foolish to say Christo Majok is a selfish player. Aside from Willy Hopkins, he is the most team-oriented player on Cedar Cliff. Just because he took it to the hoop in the final seconds, and didn't give up the ball either time, does not mean he is a selfish player. Down by two in the fourth, with only a few seconds remaining, he took Banas to the hoop, made the basket, and got fouled. Had a chance to put the game away but missed the free throw. With the game tied in overtime, he tried to take Banas again. I guarantee you Coach Rowe wanted the ball in Christo's hands at the end of overtime. At times, Nol forgets there are four other guys out there. I'll give you that, but Christo Majok is not a selfish player.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Christo is an unselfish player... When you're a confident top player, your job is to make plays.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, but I think Devan should be a little higher. Not starting off well this season, but he will. Glad I found this site!
