What a game, what a game.... That's all I can say.... Steelton played nowhere near their potential a day before but really stepped up their game tonight....
Steelton came out on fire in the first quarter on offense and defense. They were able to draw 2 charges on Wake Forest soon to be player Devin Thomas which led him to the bench for the rest of the half....
Brodrick Simmons-Settles knocked down a couple of three pointers as well as JC Brandt, before you know it, Steelton is up 9 points at the half....
Third quarter, IN COMES THOMAS!!!! The Rams set up a nice play for the ally oop pass to Thomas as he brought the house to their feet and the entire momentum shifted over to CD... They went on to outscore Steelton 21 - 10 in the third and having a two point lead headed into the 4th quarter. Both teams played tough defense in the final quarter as they scored back and forth.....
It all came down to the final 18 seconds of the game.... CD was up 2 points and was at the line for the one and one. Made the first and second but the second was waived off due to a lane violation. Steelton got a good look at the basket but missed the layup as CD held onto the victory 48 - 46...
Ryan Beaver led the Rams with 15 points and Thomas scored 14 points....
Steelton was led by JC Brandt and Brodrick Simmons-Settles with 11 points a piece....
