McDevitt turns it up late on Solanco

McDevitt played as sloppy as a first half as you can see while they trailed Solanco 41 - 38.

They came out in the 3rd quarter with a new boost of energy led by senior guard DJ Polacheck who scored 2 straight buckets plus a steal that led to Aaron Devan getting fouled.

Devan tied the ball game up at 51 with his two free throws.  McDevitt then got another stop and a kick out to Jaquan Johnson who hit a beautiful pull up jumper to put McDevitt up by 2 points.  McDevitt never looked back from there.

Devan went on to score 7 straight points with a 3 pointer assisted by Polacheck, a drive to the basket and then an easy layup, dish from Johnson.

Devan led the way with 26 points but my PLAYER OF THE GAME had to be DJ POLACHECK. (15 pts, 7 rebs, 4 assist, 5 steals) This kid was all over the place defensively and hit crucial baskets when needed.  Johnson also chipped in with 9 points, 3 steals and 5 assist.

Jordan Brooks and Donte Vaughn did a great job keeping McDevitt in the ball game in the first half scoring 19 of the 38 points.  Brooks did a great job attacking the basket while vaughn made Solanco pay for leaving him open.  Kyle Green had a really good second half scoring 6 points and playing tough defense on the guards.

Ugly start but good win .......
