Harrisburg's Jahaad Proctor Commits to HOLY CROSS.....

Proud day for Central PA as one of our BEST young men of Character, Academics and Athletics has made his College choice....  Jahaad Proctor will be attending Holy Cross University after he completes his senior year at Sci Tech HS (Harrisburg School District)....  The two time All State selection can now focus on having the best senior year he can and not worry about where he will end up or trying to impress schools....

It also doesn't hurt that his God Brother Anthony Thompson is a freshman pg at Holy Cross this year and they have always dreamed of playing together....  Proud day for the Proctor Family as they now will have 2 Division 1 kids in School with his older sister Sabre Proctor playing at Stony Brook....

Local Players show their stuff at The College Exposure Showcase at Milton Hershey

All I can say is finally....  The Central PA area has been long overdue with having an event showcasing all of the top players in the District 3 area...  This was an event put together by Owner of Advanced Hoops Charlie Fortney as he was able to organize over 60 athletes and 25 College Coaches to meet all in one spot....   Make no mistake, Charlie may have organized the event, but it took the help of Coaches like Charles "Coach Ab" Vaughn, Tigh Savorcool, Mike Pilsitz, Joe Proctor, Roger Smith and a few others to make this a huge success.....

Jahaad Proctor All-State???? Time will tell......

The class of 2015 in the Central PA area just might be one of the best that we've seen in a very long time....    Most coaches in the area have to depend heavily on their juniors and seniors but quiet as kept, the SOPHOMORES have been stepping it up in a BIG WAY......

Updated Early season Super 17 candidates.....

As we hit the mid way mark of the regular season, I thought it would only be right to throw some names out there for my Super 17 players in the area.....   Here are a list of guys that have caught my eye so far even though it's still early....  I'm sure there will be others who come out of nowhere and catch my eye as well....  This list isn't just about who scores the most points...  There's a whole lot more to basketball than scoring and every player and parent need to understand that...  Sometimes the parents are their kids worst enemy because they can't get out of the way and let the kids develop....   We have too much talent in this area and should have much more College Prospects than we do at the current time....    Enough venting, here's the list of guys....  lol...

Predictions for Tuesday 1/15/13.....

Let's see how these games break down for Tuesday....

Lower Dauphin @ McDevitt -  This game has some meaning to it as Lower Dauphin has surprised everyone through the first half of the season....  Sitting in 2nd place in a tough Keystone division with a 6-3 record, LD is playing some good basketball....   McDevitt (5-4) on the other hand was expected to be a little higher up, but that could change with a victory tomorrow...   Dyllon will have to bring his game this time because top players can't afford to have minimal contributions for their team...  He's too talented to perform again the way he did against Susquehanna.....  The "X" factor for McDevitt is combo guard Donte Vaughn....  Donte can not get caught up in just being a shooter...  He has to do more things consistently like rebound, defend, be a playmaker and energize his team.....   This is a key game for both teams but I see McDevitt pulling it out by 11 points...
