I just love watching this video again and again....
Any kid who wants to take this game all the way to the top, should not only look at this video, but listen carefully to it over and over and over again.....
As we hit the mid way mark of the regular season, I thought it would only be right to throw some names out there for my Super 17 players in the area..... Here are a list of guys that have caught my eye so far even though it's still early.... I'm sure there will be others who come out of nowhere and catch my eye as well.... This list isn't just about who scores the most points... There's a whole lot more to basketball than scoring and every player and parent need to understand that... Sometimes the parents are their kids worst enemy because they can't get out of the way and let the kids develop.... We have too much talent in this area and should have much more College Prospects than we do at the current time.... Enough venting, here's the list of guys.... lol...
All I can say is WOW!!!!! This was a day every player and fan was looking forward to.... The Harrisburg Cougars vs the CD East Panthers has become a nice rivalry since 2008 - 2009 season when East had ex Cougars Jonathan Breeden and Terrence Kellum to go along with Demond Bates and Amani Glenn as they walked into Kimber Gymnasium and handed Harrisburg their first home lost in about 6 years.... Since then, it seems as if every East team approach to a game vs Harrisburg is a confident approach.... The PLAYERS seem to really believe they can win.... Today seemed no different as East kept this game close for 2 and a half quarters.... But then the Cougars AWOKE......
This past weekend there was a Tri Team Scrimmage held at CD East which featured Susquehanna and York to go along with CD East.... It was a nice size crowd for this scrimmage as the anticipation for the new basketball season was underway.... Here's what I saw at the scrimmage for the day....
As Football season comes to an end, Basketball season begins.... For the kids who went to every open gym, every weight training session, ran all of those bleachers, worked with personal trainers, YOUR day is here.... For all of those kids who have dreams and hopes of player for their neighborhood school, this week just doesn't get any better....
Sorry I'm a little late on this one but if you happened to miss the tournament weekend at John Harris HS, you missed a good one.... The gym was loaded with talent as well as a few College coaches.... Everyone in attendance was waiting to get a good look at the 2 time PIAA State Champs Chester HS with future McDonald All American and Arizona signee Rondae Jefferson.... Of course the showdown we all were waiting for was Harrisburg vs Chester, and we all got just that....
I know it's a little early for this but what's the harm in taking a look at some of the top players in the area on theirVARSITY TEAMS.... These guys will play a huge role for their schools not only this year, but in some cases for the next few years.... More of a detailed list will come out later, but here's a shortened version.....
Centralpabasketball has decided to have a MOP of the week.... It won't always be the highest scorer, but the person who was the MOST OUTSTANDING overall player for that week... This weeks MOP is......
In a game where both teams are undefeated, somebody had to lose..... CD East and Hershey were playing for something tonight.... East had to prove that they could win a game against a good team and Hershey needed to prove they are the top team in this area, Hershey is making a good case, winning 63 - 51 at CD East......
Im going to be flat out honest.... "What an ugly game"!!!! In a game where there was too many whistles in the first half to get into a flow, there was no telling who was going to get this win...East finally pulled it out at the end 45 - 41 vs Lower Dauphin but the game shouldn't have been that close....
