Centralpabball.com "SUPER 22"

After some heavy game watching this year, here is what we came up with for our Centralpabball.com Super 22...  This list was put together based on quality of competition for some players and overall skill level combined....  Some players played in lower conferences but showed that their overall skill level may have still been above another kid in a higher division....   Here's what we have......

Red says these players were the top 10 for us....

Steven Stoney (Harrisburg) - Stoney is the guy that makes this team go....  He comes off the bench for Harrisburg but don't let that fool you....  He is in my opinion the top player in the area....  He can do everything on the court and has a very high IQ....  Being heavily recruited by Delaware State University and is already a qualifier....

Justin McArthur (McDevitt) - Justin is a powerful guard who imposes his will on the defense... He can penetrate to the bucket as well as hit the J....  Not many players can stay in front of him man to man because of his ability to get where ever he want on the court....

Dyllon Hudson-Emery (McDevitt) - This young man has a huge upside...  He may be 6'6 but he's more of a wing guy....  Dyllon has an all around game and is capable of getting major stats...  With some added weight and muscle, this kid could be a major prospect...

Jonas Page (Susquehanna) - Jonas started the season off hotter than anyone....  He has the ability rise over his defender or step back for the pull up jumper...  Standing at 6'5, he has the size plus the ability to be a Division player...  All he needs now is an opportunity....

Jahaad Proctor (Harrisburg) - This young man was probably the biggest shock in the area....  Coming from a situation where he barely played any varsity at his last school, to being the 2nd leading scorer on a AAAA District 3 championship team....  Proctor can shoot the ball with the best of them...  he also posses a very high IQ and rarely makes mistakes....  Only a sophomore and already has Penn and Radford following him along....

Zach Brunner (Mechanicsburg) - Not many people knew about Zach until this summer when he matched up with Rondae Jefferson at Hoop Group....  Zach held his own against an All American and he never looked back from there...  He's very efficient in the paint but can knock down the 15 footers as well...  Very good ball player...

Eddie "Always Steady" Cowan (CD East) - This 4 year starter is finally done with his HS career...  He earned the nickname "Always Steady" because he may be the most difficult pg to rattle...  Does very well against pressure and does well controlling the tempo of a game....  Still undecided about his plans for College as he's looking at a variety of options....

Anthony "AWright" Wright (CD East) - AWright had another fine season for the Panthers...  This 6'5 swingman has a very high ceiling....  He can defend guards and also big guys because of his length...  Loves to pull up for the jumper but can slash to the basket as well....

Deequan Fleming (Steelton) - Where did he come from?  Just when we thought Steelton was in trouble in the backcourt, here comes Fleming and all of his athleticism....  He did a great job attacking the basket and utilizing his quickness to get buckets...  Only a sophomore so I believe the best is yet to come.....

Mark Perry (Steelton) - Two words for this kid "HARD WORKER" ...  Perry standing at 6'2 found ways to get double doubles almost every night...  No matter who he played against...  He's relentless on the offensive glass and can finish around the basket as well as anyone I've seen....

Joe Marshall (Susquehanna) - Potential, Potential, Potential....  It's written all over this kid....  Joe has the length to defend all positions, standing at 6'4 and still possibly growing...  He has increased his range on his jumper, increased his strength so once his ball handling picks up, this kid WILL be a Mid Major prospect...  He's part of that group of really good sophomores in this area....

Logan Stovell (Palmyra) - Stovell came onto the scene last year so there was no sneaking up on teams this year...  Didn't matter for him because his talent his through the roof....  Logan shoots the ball with no concious and when he is feeling it, he's really hard to contain...  Look for big things from this kid as his Palmyra Cougars enter the State tourney....

Deshawn Williams (Camp Hill) - The heart and soul for Camp Hill is in his last year and he made sure everyone knew his name...  Deshawn was the focal point of every team defensive plan but he did everything in his power to put his team on top....  All he did was average 20ppg and take Camp Hill to the State Tournament...  Not bad for a small school not known for basketball at all....  Being recruited by West Chester and I think he would fit in perfectly there....

Kareem Oden (Emmanuel Baptist) - Coming from NYC Oden didn't know what to expect...  so he did what he does best, GET BUCKETS.....  putting up 20ppg, 3steals and 11rebs, Oden helped a very young team get to the first round of the KCEA State tournament....  His moves are very elusive and he loves to attack the rim...

Josh Trumpy (Trinity) - A monster in the paint, Trumpy used his athleticism, power and skill to outmatch his opponents...  He owned the paint most games and was a monster on the glass...  Only a junior, this kid can really be something special if he devote more time to the game of basketball....

Dom Antonelli (Trinity) - He may have gotten snubbed from the Keystone Conference Allstar list but not here....  Dom is a really good combo guard who plays the game very unselfishly and very efficient....  He can score from the outside or use his cleverness to draw fouls and get to the foul line...  Great leader on the floor...
Gray Kline (Cumberland Valley) - Gray can really shoot the ball....  No I mean he can REALLY shoot the basketball....  If you give him any space, he will light the nets on fire...  Kline has nice size and strength and after this year is over, I can see him turning into a fine college prospect....

Conner Schroyer (Harrisburg Academy) - This kid probably had the most impressive stats in the area....  standing at 6'6, Conner can play and start on ANY school in the area...   He's really that talented, ask every team that had to defend him...  He had multiple triple doubles but isn't a selfish player at all....  Only a junior so the best is yet to come.....

Shaquan "Shoop" Sheppard (Harrisburg) - Big Shoop needed a change in his environment and it couldn't have happened at a better time...  By moving to the Harrisburg area and becoming a part of Harrisburg, he learned to work for everything he got....  Once he proved he was committed to the team, Harrisburg took their play to another level...  All Shoop did was average almost 20ppg in the Districts while earning MVP honors and winning their first District title since 2007....  If he can keep this up, Harrisburg will be a tough out in the State tourney....

Brian Laird (CD) - Whenever you think of "GREEN LIGHT", you think of Laird...  This kid has unlimited range and didn't mind putting it up...  He was one of the leaders in three pointers made and he did what he could to help a very young and rebuilding team be the best they could be....  Laird also made 1st team All Conference for the Commonwealth division too....

Jerel Patterson (Harrisburg) - Patterson's season was interrupted by an ankle sprain but it didn't slow him down....  Patterson is probably the best ball handler in Central PA and 1 of the best in the entire State.  He can get wherever he wants on the court and as the season went on, he became a better pg as his assist per game went from 5 to 10 per game...  His cool and calm demeanor will be needed as they face some of the top teams in the State during the tournament....

Milik Gantz (McDevitt) - This sophomore has a world of talent...  His game can't be compared to anyone in the area because he has his own style....  Standing at 6'4,  his true position is pg but can be used all over the court...  Has the ability to get triple doubles when he's let loose....  His team will face The top team in the Philly area Nueman Goretti who is loaded with D1 talent...  This kid could be a very high prospect in the future with his ability....
