While all the other teams in Central PA gearing up for their bball season, EBCA has been up and running.... Both the girls and boys program were in West Chester, PA representing the area in the West Chester Christian Basketball tournament..... Both teams went on to perform well......
The girl team is off to a fantastic start going 3 - 0 so far.... They played against Concord Christian of Delaware first and then Cumberland Christian of NJ..... The girls played with a great deal of inspiration so far as one of their captains, Jill Tillman is sidelined for the season with a torn ACL she suffered in the last Volleyball game of the season...
EBCA defeated Cumberland Cristian 48 - 37 in the Finals as 7th grader Tiara Little led the way with 14pts, 7rebs and 10 steals and Amber McGarvey chipped in 12pts and 11 boards.....
EBCA even had 3 players that made the All Tournament team as well..... Sarah Baker (12th grader), Katie Dingeldein (12th grader) and Tiara Little (7th grader) ....
The boys played their hearts out even though they were short handed... Missing Starter Tim Kile and key reserve Robbie Kile, EBCA boys lost in the Finals to West Chester Cristian 65 - 55 ....
They played a very good game but WCC ate apart the zone defense during the fourth quarter.... Kareem Oden (5'9 junior pg) led the way with 21pts, 10rebs and 7assist, Tyrece Little (8th grader) chipped in 13pts and 3 steals while Casey Caruso (7th grader) pitched in 11pts.....
Kareem Oden and Tyrece Little ended up making the All Tournament team for EBCA.....
