Emmanuel Baptist Girls take first game while the boys go down....

Tiara Little (9pts) and Sarah Baker (8pts) combined for 17 points as Emmanuel Baptist tipped off the high school girls' basketball campaign Tuesday night with a 39-33 victory at Cumberland Valley Christian.....


Emmanuel led 23-15 at the break....

Little added six rebounds for the Patriots (1-0), while Baker pitched in with a half-dozen assists. Little (4) and Baker (5) also shared nine steals.....

Karli Fogel racked up a game-high 14 points for CV Christian (0-1).....   EBCA will be playing without their leading scorer Jill Tillman who suffered an ACL tear during the last Vollyball game this Fall......   Her presence will be missed greatly.....
On the BOYS side.....
Connor Chapman bucketed 15 points as Cumberland Valley Christian dealt visiting Emmanuel Baptist a 54-42 setback in high school boys' basketball action Tuesday night in Franklin County......

Josh Sander and Darrin Baker split an additional 18 points for CV Christian (1-0), which sported a 24-18 advantage at the halftime break......


Kareem Oden, a 5-9 junior transfer from Queens, N.Y., posted a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) for Dan Glass' Patriots (0-1).....

Emmanuel also picked up six points apiece from Tim Kile and Collin Reeves, while 8th grader Tyrece Little chipped in 5 points, 6 rebs and 7 steals....
