This is a new year for the CD Rams.... No more Devin Thomas, No more Nick Seefelt.... so people may be asking "Who in the world does CD have this year?" ..... What they have is guys who were used to doing all the dirty work, now ready to lead these Rams to a successful season.....
Berks Catholic is one of the top AAA teams in the State of PA as they are always coached well and usually are able to land some of the top players in the Reading area..... The only problem they had last night was, how do you prepare for something you know nothing about?
Well, if you've paid attention to CD over the years, you would know that one thing they can do is SHOOT THE BALL..... Just ask Berks as they saw a combination of Brian Laird and Matt Lapkowicz evenly share 8 three pointers as they scored 22pts and 14pts respectively......
With Berks leading 10 - 9 headed into the 2nd quarter, CD started to pick it up as they hit shot after shot and tightened up their defense.... CD would go on to take the lead outscoring Berks 18 - 7 in the 2nd quarter taking a 10 point lead into halftime.....
Didn't stop right there because the Rams took the same momentum into the 3rd quarter to push the lead up to as much as 22 points at one time.....
The gym was rocking as The Ram Fans packed the gym and cheered on their team.... Guys like Manny Gonzalez and Ryan Beaver was in on the action as well using their quickness and high IQ to make up for what they lack in size.....
This CD team isn't as big as the past, but the ball movement seems to be a little better because there's so many guys who can fill it up....
Scary thing is, they haven't even figured it out yet themselves.....
