There's a saying "The difference between success and failure is information!" .... What you don't know can hurt you, especially when it comes to grades and SAT/ACT scores....

10 kids from the Harrisburg, PA area went to the World Famous Hoop Group Skills Camp in Stroudsburg, PA to get some "old fashion" outdoor skill work.... Most of the kids weren't used to the outdoor conditions because everything is done indoors these days.... Nevertheless, the young men fought through the rough heat, bugs and rigor of the camp.... Here's a breakdown on how the kids performed.....

Young athletes are TOO SPOILED these days!!!!!!
My O my have times changed... I can remember the days when having an air conditioner was a luxury... or getting rides from game to game by parents was as rare as finding a $2 Bill..... Most of the times as kids, we had to find a tree outside and find shade just to keep it cool....

Susq TWP's Jonas Page signs with Florida International.....
Glad to see that another young guy from the Harrisburg area is living their dream.... 6'6 shooting guard Jonas Page from Susquehanna TWP HS has agreed to take his talents to Division 1 Florida International in the Fall..... This is a big deal for him and his family because he has always had the talent but Central PA really lacks the proper exposure for kids to get looked at by bigger schools.... Page is Coach Vince Rogers 1st Division 1 signee and with the talent in that school district, we may see more in the future....

Mansfield Prospect Camp review
This past Saturday I was able to travel to Mansfield, PA to watch some of the local talent from Central PA compete at Mansfield University.... This one day camp was put together by Coach Will Cabrera and he did a fabulous job.... The kids ran through lots of College pace drills so they can get an idea of how a competitive College practice looked at one of the top schools in a very competitive PSAC division....

Why is Philly Basketball so far ahead of the rest of the State of PA????
Often times when people think of Basketball in PA, they instantly think of PHILLY.... For a matter of fact, There's people out there that still think Philly is the Capitol of PA (By the way it's Harrisburg)..... One thing I can say is this, Philly has it going on when it comes to youth basketball.... These guys out there understand what it takes to get their kids proper exposure, and they also understand how to build the rep of their city TOGETHER......

Thinking about "RE CLASSIFYING"? DO YOUR HOMEWORK 1st.....
Reclassification of a student-athlete can be a touchy subject, and it is done much more often than it should be. Most who give advice about reclassifying do so without any knowledge of NCAA rules or eligibility guidelines. Here is the main thing about reclassifying. It does NOT give you an extra year to finish high school.......

Local Players show their stuff at The College Exposure Showcase at Milton Hershey
All I can say is finally.... The Central PA area has been long overdue with having an event showcasing all of the top players in the District 3 area... This was an event put together by Owner of Advanced Hoops Charlie Fortney as he was able to organize over 60 athletes and 25 College Coaches to meet all in one spot.... Make no mistake, Charlie may have organized the event, but it took the help of Coaches like Charles "Coach Ab" Vaughn, Tigh Savorcool, Mike Pilsitz, Joe Proctor, Roger Smith and a few others to make this a huge success.....
