CentralPABasketball.blogspot.com presents Coach Little's Super 17 Boys Basketball players....

With the State playoffs coming and the regular season being done with, here's a look at the Super 17 players in the Harrisburg area for their performance this season.....

This group of guys showed consistency through out the season and were big reasons for the success of their respective teams....

Super 17 HS Players

Devin Thomas - Central Dauphin  -  Was by far the most dominant player in the area this year...   Top notch scorer, rebounder and teammate....  Will end up being 1st team All State for the second year in a row...Wake Forest got a steal...

Haiisheen McIntyre - Harrisburg - The most prolific scorer The Cougars had in a long time...   Able to score from all over the court and do it in bunches...   Ask any of his defenders....

Matt Banas - Hershey - Standing at 6'8, this kid was able to play on the inside and outside for the Trojans...  He was also versitile enough to defend the top wing player on each team...

Harold Brantley - Hershey - Brantley was a monster on the court as he averaged close to a double double each game....  He'll be taking his football talents to Missouri but it was fun to watch him while it lasted...

Nick Seefelt - Central Dauphin - Ran the show for the Rams and never tried to do too much...  Controlled the offense and fed his big guy and shooters...  Made a lot of sacrifices!

Eddie Cowan - CD East - After two years of running the show in a controlled system, Eddie "Always Steady" Cowan was able to let loose and run the show....  He did a great job as he ended up being the top pg in the area...  The best is yet to come....

Reggie Dudley - CD East - Ended up being one of the top shooters/scorers in the Mid Penn...  Teams put a lot of focus on stopping Dudley because once he gets it going, forget about it, you're cooked...

Aaron Devan - McDevitt - Aaron had to play the entire season against Box and 1 defenses and still managed to average 22 ppg....  That alone says enough about Devan...  His range is unlimited as he often times shot the ball from 27 feet, and made it...

Dylan DeFrank - Trinity - This kid is the engine that makes Trinity go...  He's so relentless on offenses as he keeps the defense on their toes...   Still has another year left to terrorize the Mid Penn...

Jaquan Johnson - McDevitt - Probably the best defender in the league as Johnson makes very few defensive mistakes in the games....  He doesn't score many points, but gets his team mates involved all game....

Mike Zangari - Red Land - Mike had a great season individually as he was one of the top scorers in the area...  I'm sure he would have traded that in for an opportunity to compete for a District title...  He'll be taking his talents to East Carolina in the Fall....

Christo Majok - Cedar Cliff - Majok is a walking triple double...  This kid fills up the stat sheet every game he plays...  Standing at 6'5 with pg abilities, he'll end up being a nice catch for a College real soon....

Colton Lewis - Cedar Cliff - Lewis progressed more than almost any player this year....  He went from sitting on the bench at Susquehanna to being one of the best players in the area....  Hard working double-double guy and at 6'8, someone will have a nice scholarship for him.  Could eventually become a stud in the PSAC if given a chance....

Jared Deibler - M-Town - Deibler has had a fine career at M-Town as he battled night in and night out in that paint....   He helped to bring the program back to a respectable level and that's all you can ask of a kid...  He's being looked at heavily by PSU-Harrisburg and that would be a nice fit for both parties....

Cody Deal - Lower Dauphin - Nicknamed Cody "The Real" Deal because this kid was the truth on the court...  He could take you inside with his big frame or shoot the deep three ball....  He was a constant leader for LD and his presence will be missed in the future....

Matt Aikey - East Penn - Aikey came on strong this season wanting to prove he was one of the Elite big guys around...  Job well done as Aikey had multiple games where he had double-double games....  He tried to carry East Penn but just didn't have enough firepower....  Still unsigned with a school, I believe he would be a nice fit for a PSAC school...

Nehemiah "Bud" Mack - Emmanuel Baptist Christian Academy -  Special kids like this don't come around too often as Mack hit the area by storm....  Only an 8th grader, Mack had averages of 21.5 ppg and 13.5 rebounds as a guard...  Ranked as one of the top 5 eighth graders in the State of PA, I can see that increasing as he continues to work on his game....   Reminds me of ex St. Johns pg Omar Cook but with a set shot....  Scored 54 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in his final game of the season...

  1. For me, Devin Thomas from Central Dauphin is the best player ever based on his points and rebounds. He's an outstanding player also when it comes to defense. drills for dribbling
