Local Team Brak Bred has a good weekend in Allentown's ESYC Jay Radio tourney...

The 1st Annual Jay Radio tourney in Allentown had some very good talent in their tourney...  Teams were represented from Allentown, Philly, York, Delaware, Jersey, New York and even little old Harrisburg.....
Two local teams, Brak Bred and Capitol Elite went out to Allentown to see what the competition looked like....    Both teams had good showing for the most part as Brak Bred 13U went 2 - 1 beating a team from Allentown and also the ESYC B team before losing to the eventual champs ESYC A team..... Capitol Elite went 1 - 2 beating a team from Allentown, and losing to ESYC A team and then the York Ballers.....

Brak Bred 12U team went 3 - 0 on Saturday which qualified them for the championships on Sunday....  They ended up meeting Allentown's Wall2Wall who is ranked #9 for 12U by www.bballspotlight.com  and has beaten teams such as Albany Dream Team, Conn Elite, Rock Elite, Team Final, 6th Man Warriors, and Alexandria Titans......     BB gave them all they could handle but eventually loss to W2W 65 - 59....    BB played with only 6 players and fatigue hurt them badly...  Maybe that explains the un forced turnovers in crucial moments of the game....  The Coach for W2W stated "Brak Bred was the BEST competition we've faced all season in our 27 games....  This was the only game we got a little nervous on....  If you had a 6 footer on your team, you can be serious....  This team is ready to go play the big boys...."  Wall2Wall has been featured on www.middleschoolhoops.com and www.bballspotlight.com as an up and coming team on the 12U aau scene...  If Brak Bred can add another wing player,  and find a 6 foot post player, sky is the limit....

Wall2Wall 12U ESYC Champions

Brak Bred 13U team had a good showing but ran into a very tough ESYC team....  These kids had size, strength, speed, skills and a very high IQ for the game....  They got off to a fast start on BB and BB was never able to make it a game....  They played hard but turnovers and bad shots hurt them...  Each of the guys had a good showing this weekend and looks as if they need a little more time together and to get a little stronger....  If this team can add another big post player and another high intensity guard, they can compete much better on high level aau......   Coming in 3rd place was an accomplishment for them as ESYC defeated York Ballers 83 - 79 in the finals.....

Congrats to both teams and keep up the hard work......
