Brak Bred 12U Super Regional Champs becoming a team to watch!!!!!

This team has been a fun team to watch and coach so far.....  They are growing by leaps and bounds...  This team is made up of some of the best 6th graders in the area.....  Although there may be others that are a little more talented at this point, these group of guys play well together and it shows....  Had a great month beating ESYC from Allentown and losing to #6 ranked team on Basketball Spotlight Wall 2 Wall in the Jay Radio Championships by 5 pts....  Then turn around and beat DC Blue Devils (DC Assault), Cecil Slam and Louden Elite (VA) to win the Gold in the Super Regionals....

12U Super Regional Champs
Back row Coach Steve Little, Sean Good, Brian Garner, Shakeel Sheppard, Coach Marc Jones
Front: Quon Butts-Anderson, Deion Patterson, Donovin Medina, Yahmir Wilkerson, Jaylen Hawthorne

Brian Garner
Brian Garner is a jumping jack on the court....  He does a very good job on defense and attacks the basket well on offense....  Had big games all weekends as he was tough to stop....  Averaged about 22ppg for the 5 games....  Easily one of the top 5 sixth graders in the area...

Deion Patterson
Known to all as "Pacman" this kid is a ball of energy...  Loves to shoot the 3 and make plays for others...  Had a very good weekend from behind the arc and also being a leader on the floor.....  Sealed some games at the free throw line, especially the championship game going 4 - 4 in the final minute.....

Donovin Medina
Little Don Don was a late addition to the team as a fifth grader....  He provided great energy and made some very good plays for the team...  he was a great teammate and showed support in every way....  He knocked down some big shots during the weekend as well....

Jaylen Hawthorne

Jaylen grew up this weekend as a point guard....  He learned how to get others involved in the game and when to get his shot as well.....  He has an opportunity to be a very good point guard in not only this area, but also in the State of PA....  As his defense improves, he'll be a more complete player...  Had a great weekend in learning how to lead....

Sean Good
Sean showed great progression this weekend...  Standing at 6'1, he used his length to the fullest by changing tons of shots taken in the paint and blocking shots as well...  Still a little raw on offense, he happened to get 7 blocks in the championship game....  Sean will be a fine player in the future....

Shaquon Butts-Anderson
"Butts" is what they call him and getting buckets is what he does...  He is almost unguardable from the wing and rebounds very well for a guard...  Plays the passing lanes well which allows him to get out in transition....  This kid loves to play ball and it shows on the court....

Shakeel Sheppard

This young man is a man amongst boys....  Shak powers his way to the basket and gets to the line at will...  He did a very good job setting the tone in the championship game by dominating early on....   Although he's a very good football player, he can also be just as good in basketball if he continues to work...

Yahmir Wilkerson

Yahmir "Yah Money" Wilkerson had a GREAT weekend...  His game increased at such a fast rate offensively and defensively...  There were points in the game where he would take over and score 6 to 8 straight points...  As he gets stronger and continue to work on his ball handling, he'll be a very good player...
