Mid Penn top underclassmen class of 2013

Basketball season is right around the corner and the youth in the Mid Penn area is as strong as ever.  Here are just a few players to keep your eye on to start the season.....

Classof 2013
Jerel Patterson (Harrisburg HS) - Jameer Nelson type quickness with the ball with an incredible IQ for the game.  Understands angles on the court and can finish well in traffic.  May be the best PG in the area regardless of class.

Shaquan Sheppard (Susquehanna HS) - Known to many as "Shoop"
, this kid can score in bunches.  He can be a threat from the inside with his 6'4 240lb frame but can also step out and shoot the 3 ball.  If he can understand that his team will need him to be a dominant inside force, he can be a 20 pt per game scorer easily.

Eddie Cowan (CD East HS) - This kid is a vet at the pg position as a three year starter.  Not a big time scorer but can run a team and keep players under control like no other.  Very rarely will you see him get rattled and that's a huge advantage for CD East.

Johnas Paige (Susquehanna HS) - A transfer from Carlisle who brough his sweet outside touch and athletisism to a team that already had a world of talent.  He loves to step out and shoot the ball which hurts him at times being a 6'5 player.  He will need to mix it up offensively in order to become a more complete player.

Dillon DeFrank (Trinity) - He is a flat out player and always has been.  Dilon is extremely smart with the ball in his hands and he doesn't waste any time creating shots for himself and others.

Chris Britton (Harrisburg) - Mr. Britton always comes ready to play.  He's normally undersized but he makes up for it with his heart and hustle.  Must improve his free throw shooting because he'll be at the line a lot for the Cougars.

Dom Lewis (Harrisburg) - Another big guy who Coach Don Ross has developed into a player.  Dom ha sthe ability to change a game defensively and now has moves inside to create problems for other teams.  At 6'6 with arms that stretch for days, teams better beware of his presence.
