Central PA aau teams making names for themselves...

Another busy weekend for local aau teams as games were being played all over the State....   Advance Hoops had teams all over the place....  PA Pump n Run 15, 16 and 17's played in the Big Shots Hershey tournament....  Central Penn Ballers, Team Supernatural, CCC and Capital Elite played in "The Show Part II" while South Central Select had games in a variety of tournaments (Check out the blog on those guys for more details).......

PA Pump n Run 17's made it all the way to the championships in Big Shots tourney and defeated Advance Hoops Wilson in the Gold Finals....   Tavon Parker from York HS ended up getting the MVP for his consistent performance scoring the ball.....

Advance Hoops -Yancey made it to the 17's Silver Championships but lost to Team Prolook...

PA Pump n Run 16's lost their first game but went on to win the Silver bracket defeating Team Future as MVP Sam Light from Northern Lebanon went off during this tourney...

For the 16U Gold Championships, PA Pump n Run 15's made it all the way to the finals but ended up losing to Philly Blackhawks as Jamal Custus was just too much for them....  It was quite an accomplishment being that PA PnR 15U was a grade under but still managed to make it to the finals in the Gold division....

In "The Show Part II", Central Penn Ballers had an impressive weekend with their 16U and 17U both making it to the Finals in the 17U division...  Instead of playing each other, they decided to share the title.....

In the 8th grade division, Team Supernatural battled their way to the Championship game by winning three games in a row, one after the other...  They ended up facing a very good Lebanon team and lost by 5 points....  Team Supernatural was without swing man James Williams who has been playing with a knee injury....  Guys like Ahkee Cowan, JoJo Headen, Manny Piper and Kobe Nwandu did all they could...  They just ran out of energy it seemed....

The 7th grade division was very competitive with teams like Capital Elite, West Virginia Elite and C.C.C were the top teams there...  In the Semi Final game between CCC and Capital Elite, you just had to be there to see it...  These two teams know each other well but both teams added a few players from another local team (Brak Bred) who had off this weekend....  Jermir Thomas and Kentrell Rucker played with Capital Elite while Tyrece Little ran with C.C.C .....  These additions made the game even more exciting and more intense....   C.C.C jumped to an early lead on CE behind the sharp shooting of Tito Fleminster, Ali Anthony and Corday Willis....  CE got it going after a timeout and Jermir Thomas was inserted into the game....  He ended up scoring 9 of his 13 points in the first half as he and Tre Seagers (14pts) carried the team...   C.C.C was just too much in the first half building a 20 point lead.....

The second half was more competitive as Casey Caruso (14pts) found his grove and started hitting 3's from all over and Daron Jennings (14pts) began asserting himself....  But every time they made a run, Fleminster (23 pts) would hit another 3 pointer, one of his 7 for the ....  Elyjah Camp (8pts, 6 steals), Ahmir Wright (8pts, 5 assist) and Tyrece Little (9pts, 5 steals )was all over the court for CCC on offense and defense while Brian Hall, Mahki "Smoke" Moore and Ty'heir Butler controlled the paint....

C.C.C ended up winning the game 77 - 63 but it was a better game than what the score indicated...

C.C.C went on to play West Virginia Elite in the Finals and ended up winning 59 - 53 behind the leadership of Elyjah Camp...  He controlled the entire pace of the game with his ball handling and composure.  He also ended up icing the game at the free throw line in the last 1:30 to seal the victory...  Brian Hall was as active as ever in the paint as this kid is a true jumping jack....  Tyrece Little gave C.C.C a new dimension as he was able to rebound and start the break himself, playing more of a point forward position....

CCC winning their 3rd Championship in a row...
Players are back row: Mahki "Smoke" Moore, Ty'heir Butler, Coach Alphonso Burnette, Brian Hall, Ahmir Wright, Coach Tito Fleminster, Justin Carter, Tyrece Little
Front row: Tito Fleminster, Elyjah Camp, Corday Willis, Ali Anthony

Advance Hoops 5th grade team went to King of Prussia and won the championships over Jersey Jazz with 6 PLAYERS for the weekend....  Final Score in the game was 50 - 42 as Tyreese Smith, Gerald Jarmon, Keyian Bullock and company held the fort down.....

Keyian Bullock to the hole
Great job to all of the local teams on their accomplishments this weekend....  Next weekend there will be a number of teams headed to Maryland for the Maryland Invitational Tournament....  This tournament is huge and I'll try to get some updates on it.....
