Big Shots Baltimore Certified April 21-22
15U Orange Division Recap

Final Four: Team Final Blue def. All Ohio Red (OT)
Final Four: BWSL def. NY Lightning
Finals: Team Final Blue def. BWSL

1.      Team Final Blue
§  2015 PG Lamarr Kimble (MVP) called the shots all weekend. Set the table for his team and facilitated brilliantly.
§  2015 G Sammy Foreman – Aggressive off the bounce, constantly getting into the paint. Good vision, strong, low center of gravity.
§  2016 G Tyus Battle – My favorite prospect on this team. Seems to glide to his spots w or w/o the ball. Hit the game winner in the semifinals. Elegant athlete.
§  Team Final has length and size. Lots of nice prospects.
2.      BWSL
§  2015 Brandon Alston is a big guard who can play as a combo or as a wing. Explosive to the rim, utilizing powerful first step and big frame.
§  2016 Edrice Adebayo is a skilled and versatile 6’7 8th grader. Has a ridiculous body. Defensive force as well. HM+
§  BWSL 15u has a handful of nice sized guards to look at.
3.      All Ohio Red
§  The best prospect in the entire tournament was 2016 VJ King. With a dynamite pull up and range beyond the arc, he really isn’t guardable. One of the top five players in his class nationally.
§  2015 Esa Ahmed. Skilled PF who needs about two more inches to be a Big Ten guy. Nice blend of size and quickness. Good feet, soft hands.
§  6’1 2015 G Jordan Dartis attacks with quickness and power. Can finish with both hands. Great body control.
§  PG Lamonta Stone pushes the pace. Quick w good vision.Short.
4.      NY Lightning
§  2015 DesureBuie is a raspy PG with excellent handle. Skilled and experienced, but doesn’t have a great build.
§  2015 Mohamed Touray was my favorite player in the tournament. Competitive demeanor and dazzling swagger. Constantly moving without the ball, and very hard to stay in front of with the ball in his hands. Elegant HM guard prospect with NYC attitude. Defends the basketball with pride.
§  Jessie Govan is a 2015 6’9 C who controls the paint defensively. There’s nothing soft about him and I see him developing into a HM Center.

5.      Team Final Black
§  2015 PG Marcus Floyd is a fast, agile, playmaker. Looks to score first and has the ability to take over the game.
§  2015 G Tavon White is another scoring guard. Has a strong build and an explosive first step. Questionable mental makeup.
6.      Cecil Kirk
§  Cecil Kirk is a Big Shots favorite and their 15U team has some nice talent. Blair Brooks is a new addition in the backcourt and he impressed me with an all around game.
§  2015 Gary Jefferson is a big time player with a great build. Can play the 1, 2, or 3 and does it all. Kevin Schneider will agree he’s a HM prospect.
§  2015 Montaque Wright is a pure scorer with great shooting ability. He’s very talented, but I’d like to see him attack the basket stronger. Had 18 in the first half vs. City Rocks.

7.      Pennsylvania Pump N Run
§  2015 Jahaad Proctor is the coach’s son. He had an excellent tournament against the best competition he’s ever faced. Played with poise, knocked down shots, and his feel is top notch. 4.0 GPA.
§  Nehemiah Mack is a 2016 prospect re-classed from 2015. As an eight grader he’s a real bull on the perimeter. Really gets to the cup and competes at a high level. Needs to add range.
§  2015 Joe Marshall is a 6’3 F and is the workhorse for this team. Guarded VJ King on the perimeter and was all over the offensive glass against All Ohio Red. Needs to grow because he’s not a guard. If he gets a few more inches I’ll liken him to Savon Goodman.

8.      New Heights
§  2015 PG Jermaine Bishop was the best player on this team. Absolutely took over the game in a loss vs. Team Final Black. Can score in a variety of ways. Athletic and shifty.
§  2014 Combo JaquanAngevine is a big athletic guard who impressed. Thought he was 2015, but as a sophomore he is still a D1 talent.
§  2015 Matthew Ryan is a good size SG/SF who can really shoot it. Plays at Iona Prep

Other teams in this division included Baltimore Elite (Silver champs), All Ohio Black, NJ Got Game, King Street Kings, DC Assault Blue, Albany City Rocks, and the Brooklyn Rens. Nice prospects on these teams as well…Baltimore Elite, NJ Got Game, and All Ohio Black were both impressive in the limited time I saw them. Team Takeover Ty Lawson has HM’s all over the place but they played up in the 16s.
