With the aau season just getting started, lots of the HS teams have been playing in some warm up tournaments to get some of the kinks out... This weekend here, IS SHOWTIME!!!!
There's major aau events going on all throughout the US but some of the MAJOR events happen to be pretty close to the Central PA area....
You have the Pitt Jam Fest which is a Hoop Group event and you also have Big Shots which is an event put together by The Schneider brothers and Chad Moellenberg.....
Pitt Jam fest is said to be expecting over 300 College coaches from all levels in attendance watching some of the best players in the country perform.....
This area will be represented by PA Pump n Run 17U team with local players such as Eddie "Always Steady" Cowan (CD East), Brad Wesner (Trinity), Tanner Kilpatrick (Cumberland Valley), and Deshawn Williams (Camp Hill).... They'll be playing in the open division vs one of Canada's premier teams Grassroots Phase 1......
If PnR can pull out a win, that would be huge for their program.....
Some of the other local teams will be down in Baltimore at the Big Shots tourney....
Two weeks ago, PA Pump n Run 15U team coached by Harrisburg's own Joe Proctor won the GOLD.... They represented the area very well...
This time around not only will they be back, but newly formed South Central Select 15U and 16U boys will be in attendance as well as Central Penn Ballers 16U and 17U.....
There is expected to be over 250 College coaches in attendance and some of the premier teams in the country such as Team Final, All Ohio, Metro Hawks, The Gauchos, Team Takeover, Brooklyn Rens, LI Lightning, Boo Williams and many more......
Local players who will be competing in that event are Jerel Patterson (Harrisburg), Chris Britton (Harrisburg), Dom Lewis (Harrisburg), Milik Gantz (McDevitt), Quintin Smith (CD East), Joe Marshall (Susquehanna), Jahaad Proctor (Harrisburg), Dejour Williams (Harrisburg), Nehemiah "Bud" Mack (Susquehanna), Jakai Bowman (Steelton), Anthony Wright (CD East), Justin MacAuthor (Susquehanna), Josh Trumpy (Trinity), James Ezel (Harrisburg), Dom Antenelli (Red Land) and many more.....
