Recap of the CentralPABball Boys Pre Season Showcase...

2015 CentralPABball Pre Season Showcase Players
The Centralpabball Preseason Showcase was a fun one to be a part of.  The talent in the gym was great being that it's November and players are gearing up for their seasons.  We had all sorts of players, young and old, but make no mistake, every game was competitive and fun to watch.  Players from all over came to represent Central PA as cities like Harrisburg, York, Lancaster and even Philly were in the house.....
Big Thanks to Coach Joe Caruso for putting the boys through a skills and drills session and also Rasool Haaj from Philly for helping to coach the players for the afternoon....  Special thanks goes out to Derek Thompson from The Harrisburg Boys and Girls club for helping to officiate the games.  Lets take a look at how each player performed at the showcase...

2020 6'0 Wing Guard Tamel Little (Swatara MS)

2017 6'1 Lead Guard Tyrece Little (Steelton-Highspire HS)
Tamel was one of the youngest guys at the showcase and as an 8th grader, he showed that he belonged on the court with the older guys.  Played with high IQ as he played his role in helping others get open, playing great help side defense and handled the ball well.  Never hurt his team by being on the floor and with more experience, he'll be one of the top players around in his later HS years.
Tyrece is a strong guard who can get anywhere on the court, whenever he wants.  He was the ultimate playmaker as he found guys cutting to the basket or using dribble penetration then finding open guys.  His on the ball defense was solid and his players seemed to have a good time running with him. Crashed the boards extremely well for a guard...Has to take the jumper more ....Very high ceiling and fine College Prospect...  D1 Delaware State is watching closely....

2017 6'1 Wing Guard Nick Ramsey (Steelton-Highspire HS)
Ramsey is a big body guard who can really play this game.  He makes others around him better because he's so unselfish of a player.  Has a very high IQ and doesn't try to do things that he can't do.  He's going to shock a lot of people this year because of his overall ability.

2019 5'2 Lead Guard Donovin Medina (CD East HS)

"Don Don" as he's known around the neighborhood is always fun to watch.  When he steps into a gym, pound for pound he's one of the best talents there.  Only a freshman, he made plays all afternoon and was a leader on the court.  Has great court vision and is a great leader on the floor.

2021 5'5 Guard Seth Lee (Wagner MS)

Seth really played within himself and didn't hurt his team. Played Solid defense all afternoon and hit a few shots as well.  Not bad for a 7th grader.  The best is yet to come.

2016 6'0 Guard Nick Songster (West Shore Christian)

Nick is a hard working guard who knocked down shots, defended well and plays the game the right way.  He can handle with either hand very comfortably and always has his head up with the ball in his hands.  He looks a lot better playing with guys who understand the game because he's always thinking ahead.  Should have a great year at WSC this season.

2016 6'5 Wing Guard James Williams (McDevitt)
James is going to go places....  He gets better each and every time I see him play.  He rebounds the ball so well but he can also start the fast break himself.  He finishes well at the rim with either hand and is quick off of his feet on offense and defense.  He's only going to get better and if I'm a Low Major D1 school, I'm investing my money into him.  His better years are clearly ahead of him and he'll eventually convert into a REALLY good 2 guard who can play some 3....  Trust me, 5 years ago I said some powerful words about another Central PA player and look where he's at....  (Search Devin Thomas on my blog)

2017 5'9 Guard Jody Morales (McDevitt)
Jody is a lights out shooter who can also handle the ball as good as anyone there.  He has a high skill set but seemed to be a little less assertive than the last time I seen him.  He was a strong defender as he took away the offense's angles on the floor.  He'll be a pleasant surprise this year for McDevitt as he should play a major role in their success.

2016 5'10 Guard Kyle Weaver (Warwick HS)
I always heard about this young man but never had the chance to see him perform.  Glad I finally did because Kyle can really play.  He has a beautiful stroke from deep and plays tough as nails.  Great team player who should have a huge season for Warwick....

2018 6'2 Lead Guard Chase Wallace (Hershey HS)
Chase made a switch from Harrisburg to Hershey and he will be loved by the Trojans....  Chase is a high energy player who can do a lot of different things on the court.  He showed he can shoot the three, handle the ball, attack the basket, and also defend.  What more could you ask of a sophomore?  He's showing that he is definitely one of the top underclassmen in the Mid State....  He will be a scholarship player if he continues to develop at this pace.

2018 6'2 2 Guard Jake Wilson (Hershey HS)

Jake is a young guy but has a lot of Varsity experience as a starter his Freshman year.  The southpaw showed a sweet stroke from 3 and played with IQ all afternoon.  He's one of the best shooters in the area and looks like he's ready for a break out year.  With Jake setting up on the same side as Villanova Commit Dylan Painter, he'll have lots of opportunities to fire away....

2017 6'4 Wing Timmy Edwards (Trinity HS)
This kid is one of the best finishers in the area and is only a junior.  Timmy just knows how to put the ball in the basket.  Anywhere from 15 feet in, you can count it as 2 points.  He did a great job getting to the basket or using the tear drop to finish over the defense.  He can shoot the jumper but did more driving to the basket.  He'll score a lot of points for Trinity and might just be their best offensive option this year with a lot of focus on two of his other teammates.

2018 6'0 Lead Guard Casey Caruso (Campp Hill HS)
Caruso is looking to have an outstanding year this year as he blew up from the Fall events he's attended ( Google PangosEast All Frosh/Soph Camp).  He has a really slick handle and is super crafty with the ball in his hands.  If you leave him open for a half of second, it's money in the bank.  Was one of the top lead guards at the showcase.  Still has 3 years of varsity ball to play.

2016 6'5 Wing Luka Sevaljevic (Mercersburg Academy)
This young man was very fun to watch because his fundamentals and footwork.  Luka has a sweet jumper and has great lift on his shot.  Has a very nice European style game that makes him a very intriguing prospect.  He can play at a Low to Mid Major Division 1 school and contribute immediately.  Now is the time for Colleges to come and take a look at this young man.  Take my word for it. ( Luka Highlight tape  )

2017 5'11 Lead Guard Carlos Austin (Mercersburg Academy)
Carlos is a super quick lead guard who loves to penetrate to the basket.  Has a quick 1st step and got in the lane on everyone who defended him.  Although some of his moves weren't finished, it was easy to tell that he has high ability and can finish through contact and traffic.

2018 6'1 Guard Amiq Jenkins (Steelton-Highspire HS)
The younger of the Jenkins brothers had a really good day.  Amiq hit a few pull up jumpers with hands in his face while playing tough defense, making it hard for guys to score on him.  He's getting better every week and before you know it, Amiq will shock quite a few people....  Keep an eye on him.

2016 6'4 Wing Ibrahim Morris-Togans (Steelton-Highspire HS)
Ready for a breakout year, Morris-Togans is playing with a chip on his shoulder.  He showed a nice outside shot and with his length, he was able to play the passing lanes to deflect passes or get steals.  As he continues to play, he'll end up being a key player for The Rollers.  He has the size to bang with big guys but quickness to run with the guards.

2016 6'2 Combo Guard Montrel Morgan (William Penn York)
Morgan was arguably the top guard in the gym.  It's like he's playing chess while others are playing checkers.  He did what ever he wanted to do all afternoon.  Sweet jumper, sliced to the lane for easy layups, played passing lanes, you name it, he did it....  This young man is a 2 time All State player, District 3 MVP for AAAA, 4.0 Student who qualified with his SAT score and can play Mid Major D1 ball for sure.  If a school is searching for that DIAMOND in the rough, look no further....   D2 schools are hoping and praying he fall through the cracks and NO D1 school picks him up.  If I haven't been sure of anything else, I'm sure of this young man...(  Montrel Morgan and William Penn vs Central York County Championship 2015  )

2016 6'1 Combo Guard Jaqui Jenkins (Steelton-Highspire HS)
The older Jenkins brother was probably the most electric player in the gym.  He's so elusive and crafty, you never know what he's going to do next.  As a fan of the game, it was fun to watch him because he was hitting shots from 26 feet out.  Then he would drive right past the defense and finish with a crafty layup through contact.  Always has a smile on his face shows how much he loves this game.  It was fun to watch him for sure.  Schools are starting to recognize his talents as D1 Georgia State is taking interest now and following him closely.  Not bad for a guy only playing varsity 1 year so far....  ( Jaqui Jenkins Game vs Susquehanna 2015 Semi Finals in Districts )

2016 6'4 Wing Theo Braddy (Central Dauphin HS)
Theo had a great afternoon weather it was him flying through the air for multiple dunks or hitting the pull up jumper.  He has nice quickness and its difficult to guard him at times because he's a lefty with a nice jump hook.  He had about 4 nasty dunks and lots of steals playing the passing lanes the right way.  I can see Braddy having a great year for CD and he'll have every opportunity to do so....

No Picture Shown:
Christian Ray 2016 6'4 Wing (Central Dauphin HS) - Ray has a lot of potential because he's a taller guard who can do a little bit of everything.  He hit a couple of nice pull up jumpers and even had some sweet passes to cutters.  He can defend well with his length and should be counted on to be a key player for CD this season.

Kobe Gantz 2016 6'4 Lead Guard (McCaskey) - Kobe didn't participate due to a sprained ankle but showed up anyway AFTER he took his SAT.  He felt really good about himself on this test.  Kobe has a very high ceiling and I can see him playing in the Big Ten conference.
