CentralPABball.com Top 40 Showcase Recap....

If you are a player in the Central PA area still in search of an opportunity to play College Basketball, and you wasn't a part of this showcase, shame on you....    With over 15 to 20 different Colleges on deck, players from Central PA and even out as far as Allentown showed off their skills and abilities on Monday night.  Over 40 players suited up and while there were different levels of players in the gym, they all offered something different for coaches and fans to see....  We also had Big Star from Raw Sports in the house catching some nice footage of the event and yours truly was on the mic....  Here's a breakdown on the guys who were in attendance...

Tommie Beatie 5'9 G CD East 2016 - Beatie played with a lot of energy and is always moving on the court.  He somehow finds a way to get his hands in every play because of his activity.  In one game, he showed his ability to hit the jumper and attack the basket.  He'll shock people this year.

Issac Bicher 6'3 F Northern Lebanon 2016 - Bicher was a handful inside the paint.  When they let him get close enough, he always found a way to finish the play.  Even showed he can hit the 15 footer as well...

Michael Brown 6'3 F West Perry 2016 - Brown showed a variety of skills from working in the paint to stepping out and hitting a three as well.  He did a solid job on the defensive end and showed good strength.

Cheyzae Carter 6'3 G York Suburban 2016 - Carter was a pleasant surprise because I knew nothing about him.  He was extremely energetic out there and showed his ability to put the ball in the basket.  He had numerous steals to go along with nice finishes in transition.  Fun player to watch.

Brett Cataudella 6'6 F Garden Spot 2016 - Cataudella was all over the glass...  Seemed like every rebound that came off was in his hands immediately.  He didn't look for his offense as much but his defensive presence was known all night.  Nice pick up for a D3 school because he's not done developing and can get even better real fast.

Devon Duvall 6'5 F New Oxford 2016 - Duvall had a good night being all over the place.  He plays hard and finished well around the basket.  Has a real solid frame which allows him to be ready for College basketball immediately.  Plays with high IQ.

Nick Gemmell 6'0 G Bishop McDevitt 2016 - Gemmell is the ultimate team player and is always getting others involved.  The best part of his game is his ability to defend at a high level.  He's a pest when defending the ball and has great anticipation skills.  Can shoot the 3 ball really well, just doesn't shoot it enough.

Josh Giardina 6'1 G Cumberland Valley 2016 - I really like what I saw out of Giardina.  He always has his head up and is a very active guard.  Can shoot the ball but is more of a playmaker.  He'll be a fine player for Coach Hibbs.

Jaqui Jenkins 6'1 G Steel-High 2016 - One of the more electrifying players in Central PA, Jenkins is fun to watch.  It's difficult to keep him out of the paint and he showed the ability to hit the outside shot from deep.  Colleges were all over Jenkins by time the event had ended.  Still very young, only 17 years old but he'll be ready for College ball for sure...  The question is who will be first to offer him a FULL PACKAGE????

Kris Johnson 6'6 G William Penn York 2016 - Johnson showed why he is one of the best prospects around because at 6'6 he can put the ball on the floor, shoot the 3, and make plays for others.  He fell in love with that corner 3 ball and everytime he shot the ball, the entire gym felt like it was going in.  With a year of prep, he may be able to play Division 1 basketball but if I'm a PSAC school, I'm offering a full package IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

Donovan Maxfield 5'10 G Northeastern 2016 - Maxfield is as steady as they get of a guard.  The southpaw always has his head up and just makes the right play almost everytime.  Can really shoot the ball but can also get in the lane and make plays.  Love watching him play.

Montrel Morgan 6'2 G William Penn York 2016 - This Kid was ON FIRE!!!  Morgan showed off by hitting pull up jumper after jumper, defending like a mad man and being a leader.  He plays with such passion and is really hard to stop.  He attacks the basket well and showed why he was the District 3 AAAA MVP last year....  As he continues to get stronger, his stock will continue to rise....  He's a Hidden Gem and a Division 1 talent for sure....   I don't know what they're waiting for, lock this guy in asap.....

Ibrahim Morris-Togans 6'4 F Steel-High 2016 - Morris-Togans has been developing over the years and now is a legit wing player.  Showed the ability to hit the outside shot or drive to the basket and finish.  He's a lefty and that makes him an even more attractive prospect....  A few D3 schools have shown interest as of late...

Bo Waggoner 6'1 G Cumberland Valley 2016 - Tough nosed PG who just makes plays happen....  If he needed to score, he did, if he needed to assist, he did....  Waggoner can hit shots from the outside but looks for guys cutting to the basket all the time....  If you move on the court, he will find you...

James Williams 6'5 F Bishop McDevitt 2016 - I really like Williams because he's one of the most active players in the State.  He seemed to get his hands on rebounds all the time and he showed he could push the ball in transition while attacking the basket if needed....  He knocked down a few jumpers but blocked quite a few shots....   Colleges were in love with his potential...

Elliott Wilson 6'3 F William Penn York 2016 - Wilson will help WPY out alot because he plays with such a high motor.  Finished well attacking the rim and has long arms that seemed to bother the offense all the time....  As he continues to polish his game, he can be a key piece to another title run for WPY....

Noah Wright 6'6 F Greenwood 2016 - Wright is a wide body player who just finds ways to make space.  He does well attacking the offensive glass and finishes well on the right side of the court....  As his conditioning improves, so will his effectiveness because I can see him dominating by time the playoffs are around....

Austin Yetter 6'2 G Palmyra 2016 - Yetter was lights out from the arc and for some reason, he kept getting open....  Good ball handler as well and he showed his all around game.  He'll be one of the best guards in the Keystone Division this year for sure.

Theo Braddy II 6'4 F Central Dauphin 2017 - Braddy is a fine prospect because being a lefty he is difficult to defend when attacking the basket.  He showed he can handle the ball, shoot the outside shot and defend...

Brandon Coleman 6'3 G Notheastern 2017 - Very crafty with the ball in his hands....  Coleman has incredible length and a very high ceiling....  He shot the ball well, made plays and defended at a high level....  Fun watching him play as his stock is rising rapidly...

Shane Homick 6'2 G Mechanicsburg 2017 - Homick is a sneaky player who just does some of everything on the court.  He shot the ball well, rebounded well as a guard and did a good job defending....

Bryan Karl 6'4 F Hempfield 2017 - Karl showed he can hit the jumper consistently and finish around the basket....  He rebounded the ball well and runs the floor like a guard...

Tyrece Little 6'1 G Steel-High 2017 - Little did some of everything out there but showed he can stick the pull up jumper with defense on him....  He rebounds well for a Lead Guard and showed incredible strength when defending the ball or attacking the basket....  With more experience, his potential could shoot through the roof...

Tyrese Martin 6'4 G William Allen Allentown 2017 - Martin attacked the basket really well and loves that left side of the floor....  He hit a few nice jumpers as well and showed that he really understands the game....

Melik Martin 6'4 F York Catholic 2017 - Martin showed he's a good all around player....  He had a game where he scored almost half of his teams points....  He can handle the ball well and the lefty just loves to play....   His game has been improving everytime I see him....  That's a good thing...

Bryce Moritz 6'3 G Hereford 2017 - Moritz was active on the floor and found ways to be involed in almost every play.  Set good screens to help team mates get open and defended very well...

Nick Ramsey 6'1 G Steel-High 2017 - Ramsey is your Junk Yard Dog of a guy....  He does all the dirty work on the court and is a strong rebounder from the guard position...  His ability to find the open man is incredible as well....  He'll shock a lot of people this year at Steel-High...

Christian Ray 6'3 G Central Dauphin 2017 - Ray is a nice player to watch because he has so much ability....  He shot the ball well, attacked the basket and showed he can handle well in transition....  When he consistently does these things, watch out, CD will be dangerous....

Jordan Ray 6'4 F York Country Day 2017 - Ray has great size and uses his body well....  He knocked down a few jumpers but defended very well using his size to his advantage...

Lance Singh 6'4 G Pocono Mountain West 2017 - Singh was a pleasure to watch because this guy did everything....  He loves to have the ball in his hands and he knows what to do with it.  Showed he can hit the deep ball and also attack the basket....

Nick King 6'3 G Freedom HS Allentown 2017 - King is a smooth player and has a very deceiving handle...  He did well creating space and played with high energy...

Nico Sobestanovich 6'1 G Central York 2017 - Nico played good defense and made excellent passes on the court....  He showed a few times he can hit shots, just didn't get enough attempts...

Talek Williams 6'4 G William Allen Allentown 2017 - Williams is a highlight reel waiting to happen....  He is very explosive when he has the ball in his hands and plays way above the rim...  Knocked down a few deep threes but finished with some thunderous dunks as well....  Already holds an offer from Rider...

Seran Good 6'11 F Trinity 2018 - Probably the best prospect in the gym, Good was a monster on both ends of the floor....   He scored when he wanted to and changed up lots of shots on the other end...  Not hard to see whay Penn State put an offer on the table so soon...

Drewmonti Lodge 6'4 F Central York 2018 - Lodge showed the ability to play inside or outside...  Has really good strength and can hit the outside shot.
