Team PA show off at Showdown in Chocolate Town....

This weekend at Lebanon Valley College teams from up and down PA and also MD showed up for some great bball on Friday and Saturday....   There were some impressive teams on the boys and girls side of things in various age divisions.....

Team PA had some pretty impressive teams on both sides that showed to be pretty promising...  On the girl side....   Team PA 15u went 2 - 1 beat AC Hoops 17u, Coal Region 16u and then falling to Lady Panthers-Yellow 16u....  Great challenge for the girls as they played up a grade or two for the weekend....

In game 1, Team PA 15u Girls beat AC Hoops by 23 points led by 2018 combo guard Tiara Little with 16 points, 4 assist, 5 steals, 3 rebs and 1 block...   She also got help from a host of other players like CD East 2018 guard Jerra Stokes (9pts, 3 stls), Z'Kahya Winfield from Wilson (6pts, 5stls and 2 assist), Kayana Chisholm out of Steel High (4pts and 5 rebs), Elizabeth Voight from Northen Lebanon (6pts and 3 rebs) and 2019 forward Olivia Richardson from Palmyra (5pts and 8 rebs)...

Game 2 was a great defensive effort by the Team PA 15u girls as they blew past Coal Region 65 - 27 and was led by 2019 big guard Sam Gress out of Central Dauphin (16pts on 3 three pointers), Jerra Stokes (11pts, 2 stls and 2 rebs), Tiara Little (10pts, 11 assist, 4 rebs and 3 stls), Hannah McLucas (10points and canning 2 threes), Z'Kahya Winfield (4pts, 4 rebs, 7 steals) and Rachel Reily (4 pts, 2 steals and 3 assist) ....

Game 3 was a tough loss to Lady Panthers 61 - 44 but was a lot closer than the score indicated...  A couple of players were hurt during the course of the game and it made a difference...  Jerra Stokes led the way with 13 pts and 3 rebs while Z'Kahya Winfield chipped in 8pts and 6 rebs....   It was a great game and one to grow on...

On the BOYS side, Team PA 15u went 2 - 0 while Team PA 16u went 1-1 ...   Team PA 15u beat PA Rens 15u 56 - 37 and was led by 2018 Wing guard from McDevitt Tim Kater (17pts and 6 rebs), 2018 combo guard from Cedar Crest Blake Thomson (8pts draining 2 threes), 2019 lead guard out of Harrisburg Ali Anthony whose energy changed the ENTIRE GAME (8pts, 4 steals, 5 assist), Ian Renninger, 6'6 forward out of Pottsville pumped out (6pts, 14rebs and 3 blocks) while Lebanon's 2018 wing guard Felix Kortright had (6pts and 8 rebs) .....   Next game was against JB Hoops 15u from the Scranton area and this team was a good one....   Team PA pulled it out by 7 points and this was a great game....   Once again, led by Tim Kater with (24pts draining 6 threes), Ian Renninger (12pts and 15 rebs), Ty'heir Butler from Harrisburg (8 pts, 6 rebs) and Ali Anthony (8pts, 3 stls and great defense on their point guard) ...   Anytime you can beat a JB Hoops team, that's a great win...

Team PA 16u played up one grade and started their day playing JB Hoops 17u team...   After a very slow start for Team PA being down 16 pts, they got their act together and closed the gap to 1 with 2 mins left...  After a few key plays made by JB Hoops, they ended up winning 78 - 70....   Team PA 16u was missing 6'10 Fantastic Freshman Sean Good out of Trinity but played tough still....  Led by Sensational Sophomore from Carlisle Deshawn Millington and his 14 points, 6 rebs and 2 blocks, Kyle Everhart had 14 points including 4 threes, Tyrece Little chipped in 8pts, 7 rebs, 5 assist and 3 stls, Bryan Karl from Hempfield had 9 pts and 5 rebs while Timmy Edwards chipped in with 8pts and 2 blocks.  The next game they played was against Millersburg and Team PA had their way with them....   Winning that game by 51 points led by 5'4 lead guard out of CD East Justin Henry (20 points draining 6 threes and 4 steals), Deshawn Millington (17pts, 7 rebs, 4 steals and 3 blocks), Tyrece Little (14 pts, 9 assist, 6 rebs and 3 steals), Timmy Edwards (12 points including 3 dunks), Javon Mitchell (8pts, 2 steals and 3 assist), Nick Ramsey from CD East (6pts, 5 rebs and 3 assist) and Damion Barber out of Harrisburg (8pts, 16 rebs and 2 blocks)....   These are some of the toughest players in the area and as time goes on, they should begin to mesh well....
