Central Penn Ballers 17U is tearing things up (On the down low)

One of the least talked about teams this Spring is out there handling their business....  The Central Penn Ballers 17U may have lost a number of guys, but with the new addidtions, they are as competitive than ever....   Here's a look at how the past weekend went for these guys....

May 4/5: The Central Penn Ballers 17U team took a trip down the turnpike to suburban Philadelphia this past weekend with their sites on being crowned King of the Middle Atlantic District (PA, NJ, DE)......

In their 1st game the Ballers used a 27-1 third quarter run to dismantle CAL Sports Academy......

In game 2 the Ballers start off slow and fell behind 22-16 after 1 quarter to a disciplined and well coached Team Renegades squad......  That would be the only quarter they’d lose as the Ballers picked up the intensity on D and eventually stretched the lead out to 18, the Renegades however hit 2 uncontested 3’s in the waning moments as the Ballers end up winning by 12......

In game 3 the Ballers would face their nemesis, National power Team Nelson who has knocked them out in the Elite 8 of this event 2 out of the past 3 years......

Licking their wounds from the past the Ballers jump out the gate fast and take and early 11 point lead......  The Ballers would keep a double digit lead throughout most of the game and stretched it out to 16 points at one point.  However with a little under 3 minutes to play, and the Ballers up 12, and playing too relaxed, Team Nelson makes a surge hitting 4 incredible 3 point shots down the stretch to make things interesting..... however, the Ballers close the game by hitting the necessary free throws and advance to the Final 4 next weekend.
