Tiara Little, Alyssa Schriver and Maddy Ross shine at Hoop Group Girls Elite Camp!

Normally this blog cover boys basketball in the Harrisburg area but this topic is more about 3 local girls who represented the area at the Hoop Group Girls Elite camp in Stroudsburg, PA...   Two of the girls had never been to an event like this so the high level of intensity was shocking to them, AT FIRST.....

Alyssa Schriver
Alyssa Schriver is a 5'1 rising 7th grader from Manheim who is lightning fast and had defense for days....  She loves to push the rock and attack gaps...  She ended up making the Allstar team and also was voted Ms. Early Bird, which is given to the player that was the hardest worker at the 7am morning workouts.....

Maddy Ross is a 5'3 rising 6th grader in Harrisburg who posses a very solid understanding for the game....  She's been around the game before she could even walk, being the daughter of Harrisburg HS assistant coach Don Ross...  Maddy made all the hustle plays for her team...  She fought and battled on the glass with girls who were much taller and she also played with a lot of confidence...  She was one of the few 6th graders at the camp but showed that she belonged on the court....

Tiara Little
Tiara Little is a 5'6 rising 7th grader from Steelton but attends Emmanuel Baptist Christian Academy...  She was one of the top players in the 6th - 9th grade division, was voted on the Allstar team, and was one of the finalist for MVP voting...  Her team made it to the championship but lost by 3 points...  Tiara had never seen this level of play from so many girls so it was very inspiring for her as a player....  Tiara will be playing on the Varsity HS team at EBCA this winter so be on the lookout as you check the blog, Patriot News, or www.pennlive.com ....

Great job to all of the girls...  Keep working hard
